A Sketchy View of a Mystical Land
One among a series of doodles done while walking through the mystical lands of Jerusalem and around. Forgive the sketchy rough nature of them. 🙂
~The Church of Nativity~
Of all the churches I got to visit, this one was the biggest crowd puller. While my group waited hours to get into the place where Jesus was born, the non-religious me got a chance to sneak in “under” and see that place in more privacy. One thing I realized while standing (ironically almost 6 feet under)there was that Jesus must have truly lived. But his greatness was not in religion, but in hope. People have heard what they wanted to and hope for something miraculous. Not to sound cliche, but greatness was something he found in himself. Something he told time and again to his disciples and to all who listened to him, that the miracle was always in us. Not confined to books or churches, but in our humanity.
