The Art of Selective Dismemberment

I, You and We

are
what we are
because of what we are.

Not a bit of that
or a shard of this
but the yolk in whole.

“Thy may
stitch your mandible into a gleeful contort
if you can grate away
your heart’s end”

The tangle,
all of it.
The warped
curled
and
wurled.

“Thy may
Brand your collar with the mark
if you can shave that stub
of your neck’s bark.”

But,

I, You and We
are

what we are.

Stick, shove, poke and cram
yet, the vial
merely cannot hold
what-

I, You and We
are.
